50 Gallon Mixed Reef
I have recently taken on the challenge of purchasing a saltwater aquarium. Thus far it has been painful, expensive, frustrating, and somewhat rewarding so far. Currently, I have the following configuration:
Basics:
50 Gallon Glass Aquarium
60lbs of Live Rock
70lbs of Live Sand
Filtration:
CPR Bak-Pak protein skimmer that hangs on the Sump.
60lbs of Live rock, plus about 40lbs of rubble live rock in the Sump
I often use a 20 micron filter sock on the Sump

3″ Colony Green Star Polyp (Pachyclavularia sp.)
4″ Colony Frogspawn Coral (Euphyllia divisia)
8″ Colony of Bubble Coral
Tons of Pink Xenia (Xenia sp.)
10 Polyps of Green Hairy Mushrooms
2 Heads (5″) of Green Torch
3 Colored Zoos
Tons of various mushrooms
Fish:
4x 1″ Green Chromis (Chromis viridis)
2″ Ocellaris Clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris)
3″ Mandarin Dragonet Spotted (Synchiropus picturatus)
3″ Bicolor Blenny (Ecsenius bicolor)
3″ Orange Spotted Goby
1 Goby with Pistol Shrimp
4″ Niger Trigger
2″ Blue Hippo Tang
