Special keys on Macbook Keyboard – INS, PgUp, PgDn, Home, End

I do a lot of terminal based stuff and using the basic set old-style keys is very important.

Reading through various Mac forums, you find that asking this question insights an argument about why there is no physical key and nobody really seems to understand that they can actually be useful. Some people actually DO use vi instead of BBEdit, omgosh!

So here is a list of some of the crucial keys that I have found, don’t waste time digging through the internet to find them – here they are:

  • INS: fn + delete
  • PgUp: fn + up arrow
  • PgDn: fn + down arrow

Hope that helps you.
