Ivory Towers
Mike Joyce | November 26, 2008I work at an odd place. You see, a large number of people I work with are immigrants from eastern europe. ESL Engineers. This is great, they are smart, and good at being an engineer – and I presume inexpensive compared to engineers who can effectively communicate in English.
Now to a classic example of the problem with the culture differences. Yesterday I had called a meeting of medium importance, a calling of arms to brainstorm about a software project that effects many parties. As such the elder engineers and stakeholding managers were invited and in attendance.
